After years of managing social media accounts for opticians, fashion, beauty brands, and even a busy airport, I decided I wanted to give more to clients... that's why I went freelance!

I saw first-hand how business owners struggled to make the time to create impactful content that didn't just look good, but actually connected and converted their audience.

The secret to a successful content shoot? PLANNING! ✍🏻

Before I even arrive on shoot day, there’s plenty of planning happening behind the scenes to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

First, we’ll have a chat about your vision, the type of content you’re after, and all the important details. From there, I’ll create a plan, put together a timeline, and gather ideas and inspiration so we head into the shoot feeling prepared.

Then it’s shoot day! I’ll arrive with all of my equipment, ready to get creating. Depending on your package, we’ll capture a mix of reels and imagery, or focus solely on reels. Once the shoot is complete, I’ll edit everything with a quick turnaround of just 7 days.

You’ll receive your finished content via Google Drive, along with a guide full of tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your content, so all that’s left for you to do, is post. ✨

I have a confession to make…

I did the one thing I said I’d try never to do, and I burnt out.

Not from client work, not from having too much on my plate, but from the pressure I was putting on myself.

When you work solo, it’s really hard not to. There’s always that little voice in the back of your mind telling you there’s more you could be doing, more you should be doing.

But in reality, sometimes you just need to slow down.

Being ambitious is great, and seeing other people succeed online can be inspiring, but it can also be incredibly damaging.

As somebody who works in social media, I realised I needed to take a small step back from what I was consuming. I’d spend my spare time scrolling, and before I knew it, my brain went straight back into work mode.

During my talk at NTU, I spoke about the importance of prioritising wellbeing, and that’s exactly what my focus is right now.

Not going overboard trying to find new clients, or get stuck in the doom-scroll, but to actually go outside, touch grass, and reconnect with people I’ve unintentionally put on the back burner while growing my business.

Because at the end of the day, success means nothing if you’re too burnt out to enjoy it, right?

If you’re reading this and feel the same, I’m here to tell you that you’re not alone and prioritising yourself shouldn’t feel like a luxury. It’s essential.

So, here’s to making more space to grow my business in a more sustainable way with less pressure, more balance, and without losing myself in the process. 🫶

→ Telling the story behind your food and drink - where does your produce come from? Is it local? Who’s making it? This will get people feeling connected and demonstrate that the venue has local value and cares about the quality of their dishes.

→ Use motion to engage the senses - it’s not 2019 anymore, static images don’t grab attention. Think pours, garnishes, cutting, dipping, sizzling pans, all of this movement makes your audience feel taste, smell, and texture through the screen, prompting them to take action.

→ Go beyond promotion - PLEASE! Social media isn’t just about announcing events or specials, if it was as simple as that, everybody could do it (well, almost). It’s about creating an experience and a craving. When your audience feels it, they act.

Think of it like this: you’re letting people taste and experience your venue before they even walk in the door. That’s how you turn scrolls into bookings.
